IDEA
The idea of “total cleanup” of the Arctic was proposed by Dmitrii Lobusov, the captain of the nuclear-powered icebreaker “50 Let Pobedy”, Murmansk, and Gennadii Antokhin, the Soviet and Russian icebreaker captain, Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation, Vladivostok.
Their idea led to the public initiative which was supported by environmentalists, social and volunteer organizations, scientists and the heads of Russian regions.

This is the time to save the fragile nature of the Arctic, realize our responsibility and become a part of an important mission. Together we will bring the Arctic to its pristine state!

MISSION
THE ARCTIC
The territory of exceptional economic value, the region ensuring the sustainability of the Earth, natural laboratory for studying the global climate change, invaluable source of unique scientific knowledge. Our duty is to save this fragile nature. Our goal for today is to set up a program for cleaning up the accumulated waste generated in the Arctic during intensive Arctic exploration in Soviet times.
WHAT IS NEEDED?
Carry out a comprehensive research of the territory to estimate the degree of its pollution.
Create a team and clean up territories: collect waste, deliver it to recycling facilities and recycle.
Organize the environmental monitoring of the Arctic.
